RunRank offers a season pass for $50 providing you access to race matchups for entire season. You may also purchase one race pass for $20.

Matchups are assigned based on recent race performance and current ranking tier. The goal is to matchup runners of comparable ability so outcomes reflect performance on race day.

All outcomes are determined using official race timing results. RunRank does not rely solely on self-reported times. Matchup results are updated only after verified race results are available.

Yes. Matchups are based on runners participating in the same race event. Results are determined directly from that race’s official timing.

Participating races are listed on the RunRank race schedule. Only races included in the season calendar are used for matchups and ranking updates.

If you win your assigned matchup in a race, you record a win and rise one tier in the rankings.

Losses do not remove you from the competition or impact your current ranking. Your ranking adjusts based on winning matchups.

Three-runner matchups create more reliable outcomes. This format helps reduce the impact of race-day variables like DNF/ DNS while keeping the competition simple, fair, and rewarding.

Runners with no Personal Records at any distance (first race) will be placed in a provisional tier until their Personal Record is established. A runner who completes a race while in a provisional tier will establish their PR and be moved to Tier 0 (lowest tier).
